While aerialists who use silk can complete sequences that are just as breathtaking as those performed on a rope, they can also descend slowly with grace. Silk, or “tissu,” refers to a long piece of flowing fabric that’s attached to the ceiling (or the roof of the stage) at its midpoint, so two strips hang down on either side. With gravity on their side, aerialists using rope can gain a lot of speed, keeping the audience on the edge of the seats. The rope that aerialists use is called “corde lisse,” which is French for “smooth rope.” Available in a variety of styles, including braided, twisted, and tubed, rope allows skilled acrobats to perform complicated sequences that include lots of quick drops. However, she’s spent most of her time both taking and teaching aerial yoga classes in recent years. Since then, DiDi has gone on to get certifications in Aerial Yoga, Buti Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Aerial Hammock, Lyra, as well as going further into her certification in yoga. Her goal to to empower, strengthen and challenge all of her students, no matter what the class.Īfter moving back to Cleveland, she was able to dive even deeper into her newfound love for aerial arts. Hopefully to succeed not just in music, but also physically, mentally, and spiritually. After discovering Yoga for All Musicians, she decided to get certified in yoga in hopes of giving her flute students these tools to succeed. She found the practice and discipline allowed her to breathe better, develop a deeper connection to her body, and built confidence. If you are more than 15 minutes late for class, you will not be permitted into the classĭiDi started yoga at the beginning of music school, after her flute teacher recommended it to build better breath support for her instrument. If you are added to the class and can no longer attend, please give us a 6 hour notice to avoid the late cancellation fee. If you are waitlisted for a class, the late cancellation fee still applies. You will not lose one of your passes if you cancel with less than 6 hour notice you will only be charged the late fee. The late fee is charged in lieu of your class pass. Students are required to have a credit card on file in case of a late cancellation or no show. A $25 fee will automatically be charged for any no shows or cancellations that occur an hour before class time. This policy applies to all students, no exceptions. A $15 fee will automatically be charged for any cancellations that occur later than 6 hours prior to scheduled class time.
